This year, the Fullerton School District is implementing new volunteer procedures to ensure student safety. There are three tiers of volunteers. Please review our updated volunteer handbooks for more information!
Tier 1: If you are a one-time volunteer (e.g. making copies, organizing Tuesday folders), no application necessary, but you must always sign in at the front office.
Tier 2: If you are working with students under supervision of FSD staff (e.g. small group instruction in classroom, helping individual students in classroom), you need to submit an application, TB risk assessment (5 question interview, may be completed at a clinic or primary doctor), and sign in at front office.
Tier 3: If you are working with students primarily supervised by FSD staff, but may have brief periods of time working unsupervised with a group of students (e.g. field trips, escorting groups of students on campus), you must submit an application, TB risk assessment, LiveScan fingerprint clearance through DOJ and FBI, and sign in at front office.
*** You must submit your TB risk assessment to our school office in order to pick up the LiveScan fingerprint forms.
*** FSD is working on getting our own Live Scan facility at district office. It should be in the next few months or so and would be a discounted rate of $25. If not, it will cost $49+ through other facilities (list provided in Tier III FAQ). Once you are fingerprinted, you are clear in FSD for years to come.
